Megatex Inc. provided a full-colour LED screen for the fifth round of the 2008-09 Samsung ISU World Cup Short Track, held in Winter Sports Hall – Sofia. The overall dimensions of the LED screen are 5250x3000x300mm (WxHxD) and technical characteristics are according to the requirements of ISU. The full-colour LED screen was mounted for the World Cup from 6th to 8th February 2009.

Sofia was elected to host the fifth round of the ISU World Cup Short Track Speed Skating. This is not the first time for Sofia to host a big championship. The Bulgarian Skating Federation had the honor and privilege to host an ISU World Cup in Short Track Speed Skating in 2001. Sofia was also a host of the 1999 ISU World Short Track Speed Skating Championships and the 2003 ISU World Short Track Speed Skating Team Championships. Bulgaria is awaiting another big event – the Men’s and Women’s World Championship in 2010.
